Farrell

Cheryl Lynn Satterwhite, of Farrell, Pennsylvania, gracefully passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, during the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at UPMC – Presbyterian Hospital, while surrounded by family. She was 67.

Cheryl was born March 28, 1956, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a daughter to Claude Pope, Jr. and Callie (Jordan) Pope.

She graduated from Sharon High School in 1974 and furthered her education by attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Family was most important to her. She proudly served as a homemaker after leaving the workforce to care for family. Her heart was one of pure gold and her caring nature was second to none.

Cheryl was an avid reader and learner. She faithfully read her daily devotionals. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping and spending time with family and friends. Attending her grandchildren's activities warmed her heart the most. She often volunteered her time to support her family’s needs and organizations.

Survivors include: her mother, Callie, of Sharon; husband, Gary S. Satterwhite, whom she married on Valentine’s Day in 1976 and held hands with for the next 48 years; children, Lisa (Anthony) Pegues, of Farrell, Nicole (Michael) Drayton, of Ellenton, Florida, and Gary Satterwhite, II, (Malika Faulkner), of Farrell; grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Kailynn, Gary III, Michael III, Christian, Aaron, Ashton, William, Laila, Nicholas, Kennidee, Jrue, & Corynn; great-grandson, Nazir; siblings, Gloria (Harry) Christman and David Pope; sister-in-law, LaVerne Pope; brother-in-law, Jonathan Tolliver; as well as a host of nieces & nephews, including a goddaughter, Kiara.

She was preceded in death by her father.
