Cheryl Annette Bridges

Cheryl Annette Bridges, of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, transitioned from this life as her sunset on Friday, September 18, 2026, in the Emergency Room of UPMC – Shenango Campus, following a sudden illness. She was 74.

Cheryl’s sunrise was on September 7, 1952, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, as she was born a twin daughter to Resner and Jessie Mae (Fore) Bridges.

She graduated in 1971 from Sharon High School and furthered her education at Missouri Valley College & Wayne State University, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Cheryl had worked as both an accountant and auditor for General Motors Corporation while living in Detroit, Michigan. After returning to the area, she became a member of Valley Baptist Church, where she served on the decoration committee. Additionally, she was very active in her Detroit church too.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and watching TV.

Survivors include her siblings, Dennis Bridges (Beth), of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, (twin) Sheila Bridges, of Hermitage, and Darrell Bridges, of Wheatland, Pennsylvania; as well as her nieces, Kelsey & Shannon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents, Mayo & Ella (Gause) Fore and Arthur & Anna (Hosey) Bridges.

A Home Going Service to celebrate Cheryl’s life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 10:30 AM, at Valley Baptist Church, 500 Sharon-New Castle Rd., Farrell, with Pastor T. James Harrison, officiating, where family & friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. She will be laid to rest with family in Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
