Bruce Wayne Perry, of Burghill, Ohio, while surrounded by the love of his family, passed away at home on Sunday, October 26, 2025, following a brief illness. He was 75.
Bruce was born April 9, 1950, in Tiffin, Ohio, a son to George and Agnes (Fowler) Perry.
He graduated in 1968 from Mohawk High School and furthered his education at Cedarville College, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Bible studies with a minor in Greek language.
He fell in love with a gal by the name of Regina Gerwig and they exchanged vows on October 28, 1972. Together they started a family and born to this union were 3 children: Christine, Matthew, and Carolyn.
Bruce supported his young family by working in the agriculture industry as a regional sales representative for the Andersons in Maumee, Ohio. He dedicated over 41 years of service to the company before retiring in 2020.
A man with a deep and abiding faith in God, Bruce was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, Hermitage, Pennsylvania. In addition, he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
In his spare time, Bruce enjoyed gardening and studying the Bible. However, his pride and joy was his 1965 Chevy SS.
Mourning his loss are: his bride of almost 53 years, Regina; children, Christine E. Blackford (Jeremy), of River Falls, Wisconsin, Matthew Wayne Perry, of Burghill, and Carolyn E. Prall (Douglas), of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; grandchildren, Caleb Hindt, Micah Hindt (Abby), SP4 Joshua Hindt, Army, Jacob Blackford, Alex Prall, & Bella Prall; great-granddaughter, Wrenlee Hindt; siblings, Lois Fenstermaker, of Findlay, Ohio, and David Perry (GayAnn), of Tiffin, Ohio; and his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gerald Perry.
A time of gathering to honor Bruce will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in the Sharon Baptist Church, 1531 George Street, Hermitage, Pennsylvania 16148. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in Hartford Township Cemetery, Hartford, Ohio.
