Betsey Scott

October 27, 1957 — April 23, 2018

Betsey Jean Scott, of Vienna, Ohio, passed away quietly in her sleep on Monday, April 23, 2018, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, Ohio, following an extended illness. She was 60.

Betsey was born October 27, 1957, in Warren, a daughter to Donald W. & Lois Evelyn (Wolff) Scott, Sr.

She graduated from Mathews High School in 1975 where she played on the varsity softball team. She went on to study accounting at the Kent State University Trumbull Campus. Following school, she had worked as a waitress for several area restaurants. However, being a homemaker for her family was more important to her.

In her spare time, she enjoyed playing board games and spending time with her family.

Her survivors include: her mother, Lois Evelyn Roh, Cortland; her children, Matthew P. Mott & his wife Ashley McKelvey, Hubbard, Ohio, and Amanda S. Parker & her companion, Ryan McQuaid, Cape Coral, Florida; her granddaughter, Athena Mott, plus one grandson, Orion, on the way; her sisters, Sandra Phillips & her husband Tom Sappington, Cortland, and Donna Puckett, Houston, Texas; and her extended family too.

Preceding her in death are her father; brother, Donald "Scotty" W. Scott, Jr., and sister, Sue Ann Hines.

In accordance with her wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
