Atlas Orlando Floyd

Atlas Orlando Floyd, of Masury, Ohio, peacefully passed away during the early morning hours of Thursday, May 29, 2025, while a patient at Jameson Nursing & Rehab Center, New Castle, Pennsylvania, following a period of declining health. He was 73.

Atlas was born on June 2, 1951, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a son to Marion and Viola (Johnson) Floyd.

In 1969, he graduated from Sharon High School and worked at Loves Janitorial Service. In addition, he was a handyman and automotive mechanic, as well as a genuine workaholic and jack of all trades.

He was a member of the Hour of Power Full Gospel Tabernacle, Inc., Farrell, Pennsylvania.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, crafting, making dream catchers, watching NASCAR, and cheering for the San Francisco 49ers & Cleveland Browns.

Mourning his loss are his bride, Judy (Foore) Floyd, whom he married September 24, 2016; daughter, Tonya N. Foore, of Wheatland, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Tianna C. Foore & Brielle E. Foore; great-grandchildren, Khari O. Foore & Demi R. Bryant; sisters, Mina V. Thomas & Nora P. Conyers, both of Masury, Ethel Samuels, of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, and Mamie L. Floyd, of Buffalo, New York; brother, Andre E. Floyd, of Youngstown, Ohio; a host of nieces and nephews; as well as his best pal, Wendell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and several siblings.

A time of gathering to honor Atlas will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 10-11 AM, at the Hour of Power Full Gospel Tabernacle, 1126 Fruit Avenue, Farrell, Pennsylvania 16121. A Home Going Service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM, officiated by Rev. Deborah Lewis-Sanders, Pastor.
