Arthur “Art” “Big Bro” Daniel Chambers, Jr., 77, of Sharon, Pennsylvania, went home on November 9, 2025, following a sudden illness.
Arthur was born on April 27, 1948, in Union City, Tennessee, a son to Arthur D. and Faustine (Thompson) Chambers, Sr.
He graduated from Farrell High School in 1967 and furthered his education at the Penn State University Shenango Campus, where he earned an associate degree.
As a member of the U.S. Army, he selflessly served our country in the Vietnam Conflict. He was assigned to the 1st Cavalry, 1st Armored Division, Troop B, 3rd Squadron at Fort Hood, Texas. His decoration and citations include: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal Ribbon with device 1960, Marksman Badge with Rifle Bar, Sharpshooter Badge with automatic Rifle Bar, and 2 Oversees Bars. Art worked as a Clinical Manager for George Junior Republic in Grove City, Pennsylvania, where he dedicated over 32 years of service to the company before retiring.
He was a member of the Greater Mount Zion Church of God in Christ; and the Buhl Club, Sharon.
In his spare time, he enjoyed talking. He always stayed active, was a sports fanatic, and an avid Cleveland Browns fan. However, spending time with his family, and reminiscing about his college basketball glory days, made him the proudest.
