Arthur “Art” “Big Bro” Daniel Chambers, Jr., 77, of Sharon, Pennsylvania, went home on November 9, 2025, following a sudden illness.

Arthur was born on April 27, 1948, in Union City, Tennessee, a son to Arthur D. and Faustine (Thompson) Chambers, Sr.

He graduated from Farrell High School in 1967 and furthered his education at the Penn State University Shenango Campus, where he earned an associate degree.

As a member of the U.S. Army, he selflessly served our country in the Vietnam Conflict. He was assigned to the 1st Cavalry, 1st Armored Division, Troop B, 3rd Squadron at Fort Hood, Texas. His decoration and citations include: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal Ribbon with device 1960, Marksman Badge with Rifle Bar, Sharpshooter Badge with automatic Rifle Bar, and 2 Oversees Bars. He was honorably discharged from his duties with the rank of Specialist E-4.

Art worked as a Clinical Manager for George Junior Republic in Grove City, Pennsylvania, where he dedicated over 32 years of service to the company before retiring.

He was a member of the Greater Mount Zion Church of God in Christ; and the Buhl Club, Sharon.

In his spare time, he enjoyed talking. He always stayed active, was a sports fanatic, and an avid Cleveland Browns fan. However, spending time with his family, and reminiscing about his college basketball glory days, made him the proudest.

Mourning his loss are his wife, Cindy Lou (Brucker) Chambers, whom he married July 17, 1998; children, Faustina Chambers-Shores, of Panama City, Florida, Elizabeth Carnathan (Tommie), of Fort Worth, Texas, Marilyn Odille (Cory DeLong), of Kinsman, Ohio, Nicole Odille, and Joseph Vickinovac (Nicole), both of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, MeKayla Baltodano (Claudio), Hailey Odille, Kameron Thomas (Jaci), Kandace Thomas, Xavier Carnathan, TaMya Carnathan, Tommie Carnathan, Kia Odille, Carter Azevedo, Hudson Shores, Novalee Chambers, Jayden Odille, Kian Odille, Ason Odille, Kirsten Vickinovac, & Ava DeLong; great-grandchildren, Catalina, Camilla, Kehlani, & Novleigh; siblings, Evangelist Pauline Roberts, of Farrell, Pennsylvania, Janice Graham (Terry), of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, and April Brown, of Farrell; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and dedicated friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, James “Shorty” Johnson; step-mother, Louise (Ross) Chambers; sister, Jacqueline Chambers; twin brother, Richard Vaughn Chambers; and brother-in-law, Elder Willie James Roberts.
