Anthony “Tony” J. Scarcelli, of Brookfield, Ohio, laid down his working tools in life on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, while a patient at the Hospice House, Poland, Ohio, following an extended illness. He was 79.
Anthony was born on December 5, 1946, in Warren, Ohio, a son to Patrick J. & Margaret M. (Miller) Scarcelli.
He graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1964.
Tony was a foreman working out of the Laborers Union Hall #539, where he retired after dedicating over 25 years to the profession.
He was a member of Jerusalem Lodge #19 F&AM, Hartford, Ohio; and a 32 Degree Mason of the Ancient Accepted Order of Scottish Rite, Valley of Youngstown, Ohio.
In his spare time, he enjoyed going to Florida. Tony had the gift of gab who liked going to garage sales with his grandson, Blake. In addition, he loved dancing with Cheryl. However, some may remember his license plate which read "Easy Money", one of his nicknames from the union hall. He really was one of a kind and will truly be missed.
Mourning his loss are his wife, Cheryl A. (Evans) Yendrek-Scarcelli; children, Susan M. Delaney (Ron), of Columbus, Ohio, Sonya L. Scarcelli, Nicole A. Scarcelli, both of Niles, Ohio, Michele L. Yendrek-Malone (Scott), of Mt. Dora, Florida, Thomas S. Yendrek, of Brookfield, and Amy Saul (Jay), whom he loved as his own; grandchildren, Maria, Noah, Gabriel, Grace, Faith, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Jeremy, Ashleigh, Katie, Blake, Piper, Bri, Lexi, and Candace; great-granddaughters, Mia Bella & Sofia; as well as brother, George "Butch" Scarcelli (Chris), of Temecula, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Frank Scarcelli.
