Anthony "Tony" Tyrone Butler, Sr.

It is with profound sadness that the family of Anthony “Tony” Tyrone Butler, Sr., of Masury, Ohio, transitioned from this life on Saturday, September 13, 2025, while a patient at O’Brien’s Memorial Nursing Home, following a sudden illness. He was 59.

Anthony was born February 28, 1966, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a son to Leonard and Bobby Jean (Matthews) Butler.

He graduated from Brookfield High School in 1985.

Tony was kind to everyone. He had the biggest heart and was always willing to help those in need. He will truly be missed.

In his spare time, he enjoyed going to the gym, tinkering with his car, and cheering for his beloved Dallas Cowboys. However, spending time with his family was what he cherished the most. He was simply the best.

Mourning his loss are his mother, Bobby Jean; step-father, Van Copeland, of Youngstown, Ohio; son, Anthony Tyrone Butler, Jr., of Sharon; siblings, Lynda Campbell, Marques Campbell, both of Masury, Leonard Butler, Jr., of Laughlin, Nevada, Latanya Butler, and Nikkea Copeland, both of Columbus, Ohio; aunt, Karimah Kharleed, of Atlanta, Georgia; uncles, Nevelton Butler & Jimmy Butler; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends whom he was very close with.

His father preceded him in death.

A time of memorial gathering to honor Tony will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 PM, in the home of Briceland Funeral Service, LLC, located at 379 State Route 7, SE, Brookfield, Ohio 44403.
